Chin Chin, hic and that's ruddy marvellous. Try it now, right now
Well not quite that, as there are so many glorious ways of trying our favourite tipple. Here are our top 3:
1. Brecon botanicals
Brecon botanicals is from the clever chaps at Penderyn Distillery. Juniper, coriander and a sneaky hint of cinnamon can be found in this botanical beauty, winning it silver in the 2016 international wine and spirit awards. Gin not your thing? They also do a single malt in honour of Dylan Thomas. Ooh.
2. Daffy's Gin
Not only are we drawn to the label which has a striking resemblance to our dear old Editor after a night out, but to this tasty trouper and winner of 2017 World's best martini challenge. Made in a big old copper pot, it's balanced with eight botanicals. The main hit is Lebanese mint making it too cool for school. Fresh. Deats here.
3. Silent Pool Gin
A massive 24 botanicals in this heavyweight of the gin world. Citrus, spicy and floral all in one flavoursome punch. It's also got a dollop of fine local honey in it for good measure. Made in the Surrey hills in a very pretty bottle worthy of a candle afterwards, Silent Pool were gold winners in the 2016 world spirit awards. They also do a English rose version, perfect for summer cocktails. Chin Chin.
