Well this place is a bit of a find. Hidden away in the Knibbs, Warwick lies Fusca, a vegetarian restaurant. The fact that it's vegetarian shouldn't put meat eaters off either, for no matter what your persuasion the food is simply delicious. And it's good food, inventive and creative food. No second thoughts here.We went on a chilly lunchtime and were led into the vaulted basement below, itself a little bit different, a little bit creative. Quotes and photos fill the walls and there is a quirky door knob ceiling beam, we've no idea what it meant, but it was charming nonetheless. The food: I went for the pakoras with salad and they were fine, spicy and light, not greasy at all and the salad wasn't an afterthought either. Fresh, crisp and zingy with interesting flavour combos. My friend had the mediterranean tart, which was pronounced a success. For pud, we shared a fruit crumble, which was big enough for two.Why Fusca? Apparently it's an area in Columbia where chef Andrew found out about great veggie food. The staff are friendly and we weren't rushed at all and I'm so glad we lingered as the chef was trialling some vegan truffles and we were the guinea pigs - anytime! We just had lunch but a seven course taster menu is available - yes please.
